Products Details
Titanium dioxide 13463-67-7 manufacturer
Physical property data
White powder.
It is a soft, odorless, tasteless white powder with strong hiding and coloring power. Its dissolution point is 1560 ~ 1580℃. Insoluble in water, dilute inorganic acid, organic solvent, oil, slightly soluble in alkali, soluble in concentrated sulfuric acid. It turns yellow when heated and white when cooled. The density of rutile type (R type) is 4.26g/cm3, and the refractive index is 2.72. R type titanium dioxide has good weather resistance, water resistance and not easy to yellow characteristics, but the whiteness is slightly worse. Anatase type (type A) has A density of 3.84g/cm3 and A refractive index of 2.55. A type titanium dioxide light resistance is poor, weathering resistance, but the whiteness is better. In recent years, nanoscale ultramicrofine titanium dioxide (usually 10 ~ 50 nm) has been found to have semiconductor properties, and has high stability, high transparency, high activity and high dispersion, no toxicity and color effect.
The main purpose
Used in paint, ink, plastic, rubber, paper making, chemical fiber and other industries; Titanium dioxide (nanoscale) is widely used in white inorganic pigments such as functional ceramics, catalysts, cosmetics and photosensitive materials.
It is one of the strongest pigments in white pigment, with excellent hiding power and color fastness, suitable for opaque white products. Rutile type is especially suitable for outdoor use of plastic products, can give products good light stability.
Anatase type is mainly used at indoor use products, but take blue light slightly, whiteness is high, cover force is big, tinting force is strong and dispersion is better.
Titanium dioxide is widely used as paint, paper, rubber, plastic, enamel, glass, cosmetics, ink, watercolor and oil color pigments, but also used in metallurgy, radio, ceramics, welding electrode
Industry status quo
Titanium dioxide is a very important raw material in industrial production, widely used in coatings, plastics, paper making, printing ink, chemical fiber, rubber, cosmetics, ceramics, enamels, electronics, food and medicine and other industries, among which coatings account for the largest, about 60%. And the largest consumption of titanium dioxide in coating products is architectural coatings, accounting for 60% of the coating usage. Due to the real estate impact on the coating market lag period is about 1 year, because the hot real estate market in 2013 will make the demand for titanium dioxide in 2014 to usher in a peak.
Among coating products, the construction coating consumes the most titanium dioxide, followed by automobiles, ships, railway vehicles and other transportation equipment. Thus, the consumption of building coatings directly affects the demand for titanium dioxide, and the consumption of building coatings and the real estate industry is very close. According to relevant statistics, the impact of the real estate industry on the construction coating market lags behind about 1 year, the development of the real estate industry can be used as a leading indicator of the demand for titanium dioxide. As an important economic development vane in China, real estate directly affects the demand for products related to the industrial chain. In addition, the time interval from contract sales to decoration of commercial housing in China is about 1 year. Therefore, the sales index of commercial housing can more accurately reflect the impact of the real estate industry on the market demand for titanium dioxide.
