The synthetic methods
1. There are many preparation methods of resorcinol, such as benzene sulfonation alkali fusion method, resorcinol and phenol co-production method, resorcinediamine method, m-diisopropyl benzene method, m-aminophenol hydrolysis method, etc. Benzene sulfonation alkali fusion method takes benzene as raw material, by sulfonation to m-benzene disulfonic acid, and then by neutralization alkali fusion, acidification and obtained. The sulfonates were obtained by adding benzene, 65% fuming sulfuric acid and sodium sulfate into the reactor at 75℃. Then add anhydrous sodium sulfate to the sulfonate, stir and heat to 175℃ to dissolve it, add sulfur trioxide at this temperature, and then react for 1.5h, to obtain disulfonate (benzene disulfonate content 75%). The sulfonated compound was neutralized with dilute alkali solution, and the excess sulfate was removed, and the resulting sodium benzenesulfonate was gradually added to the melted sodium hydroxide at 290℃, which was heated to 325℃ in 15min. Then, the alkali melt was dissolved in water, acidified with sulfuric acid, extracted with ethyl ether, and the finished resorcinol was evaporated.
2. This product can be obtained after alkali melting and acidification of potassium m-benzene disulfonate.
The operation procedure was as follows: benzene, 60% fuming sulfuric acid and sodium sulfate were added into the reaction pot, the reaction temperature was controlled at 75℃, and the sulfonate obtained contained 75% benzenesulfonic acid, 1% diphenyl sulfone, 20% sulfuric acid and 4% sodium sulfate. Then add anhydrous sodium sulfate, stir and heat to 175℃, add sulfur trioxide and react for 1.5h, the product is composed of 75% benzene disulfonic acid, diphenyl sulfone disulfonic acid 4%, sulfuric acid 17%, sodium sulfate 4%. After being neutralized by dilute alkali and removing excess sulfate, the sodium benzdisulfonate was obtained, which was added into the molten sodium hydroxide at 290℃ and heated to 325℃ within 15min. The alkali solution was dissolved in water, acidified with sulfuric acid, and then extracted with ethyl ether or butanol. After the solvent was recovered by distillation of the extraction liquid, the crude product was obtained. The crude product was distilled under pressure, and the distillate was collected at 178℃ to form resorcinol.
3. M-diisopropyl benzene oxidation method (HOP method) : m-diisopropyl benzene oxidation method is similar to the oxidation of isopropyl benzene to phenol and acetone method. Benzene with propylene alkylation reaction between generated under the catalyst diisopropyl benzene, diisopropyl benzene in between 80 ~ 90 ℃, the weak alkaline condition bubbled into oxygen and air oxidation reaction generated between two hydrogen peroxide diisopropyl benzene and by-products diisopropyl benzene hydroxyl peroxide, between the crystallization, filtration separation between out two hydrogen peroxide diisopropyl benzene, again under the condition of 80 ℃ with sulfuric acid or phosphoric acid dissociation between benzodiazepines and acetone. With the increasingly strict requirements of environmental protection, this method will be the development direction of resorcinol synthesis in industry.
The storage method
Precautions for storage: Store in a cool, ventilated warehouse. Keep away from fire and heat. The storage temperature should not exceed 35℃, and the relative humidity should not exceed 80%. The packing should be sealed and not in contact with air. It should be stored separately from oxidizing agents, acids, alkalids and edible chemicals, and should not be mixed. Equip with the corresponding variety and quantity of fire fighting equipment. The storage area shall be provided with suitable materials to hold the leakage.

4. Used as a variety of organic medicine and dye manufacturing, is the intermediate of fur dyes. It is used in medicine to treat eczema, psoriasis and other skin diseases. In the cosmetic industry, used in hair dye formulations (as complex dyes). Rescinol has a bactericidal effect and can be used as a preservative. It is added to pasts and ointments of cosmetics and skin medicines.
