Products Details
Polyacrylamide 9003-05-8 manufacturer
Storage methods
Closed in a cool, dry environment
The characteristics of
1, flocculation. PAM can neutralize the suspended material through electricity and play a flocculating role
2, adhesion. Can play a bonding role through the physical chemical action
3, thickening. Thickening in both neutral and acidic conditions, PAM hydrolyzes easily if pH is above 10
The main purpose
Polyacrylamide is an important water-soluble polymer, and both flocculation, thickening, shear resistance, resistance, dispersion and other valuable properties. These properties vary with the ion of the derivative. Therefore, it is widely used in oil production, mineral processing, coal washing, metallurgy, chemical industry, paper making, textile, sugar, medicine, environmental protection, building materials, agricultural production and other departments.
Polyacrylamide for PAM. Usually acrylamide monomer head to tail bond structure of high polymer, at room temperature is a hard glassy solid. Because make a method different, the product has white powder, translucent bead and sheet shape.
Density 1.302g/cm3(23℃), glass transition temperature 153℃, softening temperature 210℃. It has good thermal stability. Soluble in water, the aqueous solution is clear and transparent, its viscosity with the increase of polymer molecular weight obviously become sticky, and with the polymer concentration change logarithmic increase and decrease relationship.
It is generally insoluble in organic solvents with the exception of acetic acid, acrylic acid, chloroacetic acid, ethylene glycol, glycerin and formamide. It is prepared by free radical polymerization of acrylamide monomer and can be prepared by solution polymerization, reverse phase emulsion polymerization, suspension polymerization and solid polymerization. The molecular weight of the product is controllable, water soluble and less residual monomer is required.
Polyacrylamide (PAM) is one of the most widely used water-soluble polymers with a large number of side group amides in the main chain. Amides are chemically active and can form a series of derivatives with a variety of compounds.
Polyacrylamide has flocculation, thickening, resistance reduction, bonding, stable colloid, film formation and scale inhibition and other functions, widely used in papermaking, mining, coal washing, metallurgy, petroleum exploitation and other industrial sectors, is an important chemical water treatment.
