1, 2-benzoisothiazole-3-ketone (BIT for short) is a simple derivative of isothiazolinone.
Because of its good thermal stability (thermal decomposition temperature of more than 300℃), is conducive to corrosion protection. As a major industrial antiseptic, antiseptic and anti-enzyme agent, BIT has a prominent role in inhibiting the breeding of fungi, algae and other microorganisms in organic media.
